Desaru is being revamped with brand new hotels and a huge waterpark – here’s what it’ll look like

Malaysia’s once-popular resort destination Desaru could soon return to its glory days.

A star attraction in the 1980s and early 90s, Desaru has lost its sparkle after years of inactivity, but fresh investment in the area will soon breathe new life into the quiet coastal area.

Desaru Coast, a new integrated destination resort developed by Desaru Development Holdings One Sdn Bhd (DH1), will feature big name international hotels, an adventure waterpark, riverside dining, a conference centre, and 27-hole and 18-hole golf courses.

Located along the Desaru coastline, Desaru Coast will span over 3,900 acres along a pristine 17km beachfront facing the South China Sea.
