McDonald’s posted a tweet at 1 a.m. on Friday morning that had many customers scratching their heads.
The tweet, from McDonald’s corporate account, reads: “Black Friday **** Need copy and link****”

Presumably, McDonald’s social media manager had set up a Black Friday tweet – but forgotten to actually include the necessary information.
The tweet went viral, with more than 10,000 retweets and 22,000 likes as of Friday at 10 a.m.
On Friday morning, Wendy’s took the opportunity to shoot back at the rival fast food chain.
Wendy’s tweeted: “When the tweets are as broken as the ice cream machine.”
McDonald’s ice cream machines are infamous for frequently breaking down. While the company has identified replacement machines, as of November, it hadn’t yet rolled them out in restaurants.
McDonald’s acknowledged its late-night tweet at 9:48 a.m., with a follow-up tweet reading: “When you tweet before your first cup of McCafé… Nothing comes before coffee.”
