A giant miniature world is now in New York City’s Times Square.

A group of artists have created a new 49,000-square-foot exhibit of 300 miniature scenes of landmarks and towns from 50 countries around the world.

Called Gulliver’s Gate, the exhibit features everything from a tiny replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa to one of the Beatles strutting across Abbey Road. The permanent, $40 million exhibit opened on April 6.

Most elements are at a 1:87 scale. That means a replica of a six-foot-tall person would measure just under an inch.

There are plenty of imaginary and humorous scenes, too …

In total, there are 10,000 cars and 1,000 trains, many of which zip down roads and tracks. The longest track stretches 475 feet.

The exhibit’s name references Jonathan Swift’s “Gulliver’s Travels,” an 18th century story that chronicles the adventures of a ship’s surgeon.

The character Gulliver “discovered his expectations challenged and his sense of wonder expanded. It is our goal to do the same for the 21st century, with an immersive display that utilizes the latest interactive technology to make the experience of an intricate and tiny world even more rich and engaging,” the artists wrote in a statement.

Entry into the exhibit costs between $25 to $36. Visitors can also pay an additional $44 fee to get scanned and have a 3D replica of themselves in the miniature world.
