Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna is doing the nation proud again, this time with a feature in the July/August issue of high-end luxury magazine Vogue Arabia.
Dressed in a grey hijab and dress by Shah Alam designer Hatta Dolmat, the 30-year-old songstress is featured on the cover of the luxury magazine’s Lens section.
Titled “Hijabi Crush”, a caption on the cover reads: “While making hit music and breaking into international charts, Yuna proudly represents Muslim women and diversity on the global scene.”
The singer, who is now based in Los Angeles, said on her Instagram account that she was “over the moon” to make it on the cover of a section in Vogue.
“Thank you @voguearabia this is so cool. Let’s do the COVER cover next time, you know I gotchu,” she wrote.
Known for her musical talents, Yuna is also increasingly being recognised for her fashion sense and effortless style.
Earlier this year, she walked the runway for Mara Hoffman during New York Fashion Week, and also helped to style the other models who sported turbans during the show, The Star reported.
She is due to return home this week for a performance at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue in Kuala Lumpur on July 29.
