We’re looking for an experienced audience analyst to join our team in New York City. You’ll analyze data to provide insights, influence strategies, and drive action. You’ll play a critical role in growing Business Insider’s audience, engagement, and revenue, while helping us tell important, ground-breaking stories to hundreds of millions of people around the world.
Our Audience Analyst will:
- Gather and analyze data from the site, social platforms, and other sources Create and automate reports for Product, Editorial, Social, PR, Business Development, Ad Sales, and Tech teams Handle ad-hoc queries and custom report requests Discover and communicate insights to grow audience, improve retention, and drive engagement Run experiments on audience sources and identify best practices to drive growth Test and optimize key features, designs, templates, and marketing campaigns with A/B tests Audit and manage tags and tracking on the site Identify new data to ingest Assist in optimizing ad campaigns Stay ahead of industry trends and help BI define the future of audience measurement
A strong candidate will have 1 – 2 years of web analytics experience including:
- Web analytics tools: Google Analytics or Adobe Omniture Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheets Strong communication and data visualization skills A knack for finding ways to add value and provide “aha!” insights Intellectual curiosity and excitement to discover and share insights from data
Any of these skills would be a great bonus:
- Experimental design and statistical modeling Social analytics SEO APIs and data-scraping
