Update (5:50 p.m. ET): Trump’s tweet of the video has been “withheld in response to a report from the copyright holder,” according to Trump’s Twitter feed.
Donald Trump tweeted out a bizarre fake movie trailer for his campaign on Monday.
The Republican presidential frontrunner shared an over-the-top video prominently featuring Martin Sheen’s voice-over acting from the video game “Mass Effect 2.”
The ad featured sweeping music, seemingly random campaign-trail moments, and patriotic stock footage, including shots of eagles in flight, astronauts, and the Statue of Liberty.
“We’re at war. No one wants to admit it but humanity’s under attack. One very specific man might be all that stands between Humanity and the greatest threat of our brief existence,” the narrator said in the video, quoting “Mass Effect 2.”
In the style of a movie review, the video flashes text reading “Donald Trump is simply awe-inspiring,” a quote attributed to “all who gaze upon him.”
The video also took repeated shots at Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton, whom it depicted laughing and barking.
