Factory orders came right in line.
The latest report from the Census Bureau showed that factory orders increased by 1.9% in April.
This was exactly what economists were expecting, according to the Bloomberg consensus.
Last month, factory orders rose by 1.1%, above economists’ expectations.
The latest report was also accompanied by revised data on durable goods. According to the Census, durable goods orders increased by 3.4%, in-line with last week’s preliminary data from the Department of Commerce.
