What would a ride-hailing app service and an amusement park have in common that might set your heart palpitating in excitement or fear?
The answer, it seems, is Halloween.
Grab’s latest collaboration with Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is offering patrons of the app a 20-minute in-car scare experience that promises to be the “scariest ride of your life”.
The event is a precursor to the annual USS Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) event which will be back for its 7th run this year from Sept 29 to Oct 29.
The one-night only event will take place tomorrow (Sept 8) at Vivocity from 8pm to 1am but sign-ups have already been closed due to an over subscription.
Each ride will allow only two participants and fortunate (or unfortunate) individuals will be notified by today.
In addition to the immersive experience, “survivors” of the ride have been promised two complimentary tickets and express passes to USS HHN7 on Oct 13.
So far, the promotional video posted on their official Facebook page on Monday (Sept 4) has received over 600 reactions and 300 shares.
Many were unhappy about the limited spaces available.
Others think there are more important things to be scared about.
