K-pop star IU and boyband BTS just announced their first Singapore concerts – here’s what we know so far

IU and BTS just made some exciting announcements.

This one’s for all you K-pop fans.

Lee Ji-eun, better known as IU, will be holding her very first concert in Singapore on Dec 15.

The concert is slated to take place at The Star Theatre, and is part of her 10th Anniversary Tour Concert.

Tickets will go on sale on Oct 13 at 10am via Apactix, and will be priced at S$148, $188, $228 and $268.

Fans can also buy IU concert tickets at the Singapore Indoor Stadium Box Office, The Star Theatre box office and all SingPost outlets.

Seen as K-pop’s sweetheart, IU has earned multiple awards, including her first number 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart for her 2017 record Palette.

And she’s not the only K-pop singer set to come to Singapore.

K-pop boy band, BTS, will also be holding their first Singapore concert.

One Production made the announcement via Facebook on Oct 10, writing that it would be BTS’ “first-ever mega concert in Singapore!

In its post, it added that the concert, part of the Love Yourself World Tour, will be held on Jan 19 next year, at the Singapore National Stadium.

The seven-member group managed to break records as the only K-pop singers to top the Billboard 200 albums chart with singles from their Love Yourself album.

IU will also be performing in cities in South Korea, namely Busan, Kwangju and Seoul, as well as Hong Kong, Bangkok and Taipei. BTS will be performing in Taiwan at the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium, Hong Kong’s Asiaworld-Expo Arena and Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium.
