  • The injury came in the second quarter of the Knicks matchup against the Bucks, just after Porzingis had dunked on Bucks center Giannis Antetokounmpo.
  • The Knicks later confirmed that Porzinigis had torn the ACL in his left knee.

New York Knicks All-Star big man Kristaps Porzingis torn the ACL in his left knee when he landed awkwardly following a dunk.

The blow came in the second quarter of the Knicks matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden. Porzingis went up and threw down a huge dunk on Bucks center Giannis Antetokounmpo. After slamming the ball through, Porzingis came down awkwardly and fell to the court, immediately grasping his left knee in pain.

The team later confirmed that Porzingis had torn his ACL.
