In a now-deleted Instagram post, Cordon was seen with blood dripping down her bruised face. The caption accused McCoy of being a “WomanBeater.”

McCoy later released a statement denying the allegations, saying he hadn’t had contact with Cordon or the other woman in the home during the invasion in months.

“For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me today on social media are completely false,”McCoy wrote. “Furthermore, I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months.”

McCoy and Cordon have been involved in a legal dispute for months over accusations, according to TMZ Sports.

According to the report, McCoy had filed a lawsuit trying to get Cordon removed from a home he owns in Georgia.

TMZ also reports that in the court documents, Cordon accused McCoy of secretly having people remove her belongings from the house shortly after the pair had discussed getting married and that McCoy later cut power to the home.

Since allegations against McCoy arose, the football star hired lawyer Don Samuel, the Atlanta-based lawyer who was part of the defense team for former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis when he was charged with murder in 2000.

The charges against Lewis were later dropped.
