Police have arrested a man suspected to be the jogger who appeared to push a woman in front of a London bus.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The incident, which took place in May, saw a man push a 33-year-old woman in front of an oncoming bus on Putney Bridge.
According to Thursday’s police statement, the bus stopped and some passengers got off to help the victim.
Police had appealed for the man to come forward to speak with them after publishing CCTV footage of the incident.
It is unclear whether the man handed himself in voluntarily, but police said that officers “received a good response from the appeal.”
The man remains in custody in a south London police station.
