Another sickening series of cat abuse cases has been reported in Singapore.

This time, dead cats have been found in Seletar Hills estate and the photos show gruesome wounds.

According to Chinese evening daily Shin Min Daily News, five dead cats have been found in the Seletar Hills private residential area since Aug 29.

Shin Min reported that all the cats were said to have circle-shaped wounds and were suspected to have been cut with a knife. Photos provided to the newspaper show that two of them had part of their innards torn out.

Investigations are currently being conducted by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

A spokesman from the AVA said those with information about the case – such as witness accounts and photographic or video evidence – may contact the AVA on 1800-476-1600, and that all information will be kept in strict confidence.
