Ever been out in town only to be laden with shopping bags with still a list of appointments to get done with?

Well, online concierge and delivery service honestbee might have just the solution for you: It has launched a pilot service where shoppers can drop off their purchases and have them delivered to their homes on the same day or next day for a fee.

The programme which runs from Jan 31 till April 30 is available at three honestbee concierge booths at Suntec City,  and aims to bring the added convenience to costumers who do not want the hassle of lugging home purchases themselves.

There is not weight limit, and odd sizes are welcomed as long as they fit into honestbee’s delivery tote boxes, said honestbee in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 21).

One thing to note: Food items and perishables will not be accepted.

Delivery takes place from 1pm till 11pm from Monday to Sunday. Same day delivery starts from S$15 ($11.30), while next day delivery fees starts at S$12.

The price varies depending on the location but the service does not deliver to restricted areas such as airports, fishery ports and industrial areas.

Download the honestbee app at the App Store or the Google Play Store to use the service.

Country manager for honestbee Singapore Mr Chris Urban said: “Offering a drop-off concierge service to shoppers within a mall felt like the next step for us.”

“Given the high traffic at Suntec City, we do see a lot of families, PMEBs working at the Suntec City tower, as well as tourists. Therefore, we hope this service will be especially beneficial to them.”

Through the pilot, Mr Urban said the company will evaluate and assess how else to improve the service so that it can be extended to other malls across Singapore in future.

Last November, honestbee launched a lunchtime food delivery service for consumers within the CBD to allow them to order in food from mutiple stalls within three hawker centres in the area.
