Watch the adorable moment when a 9-year-old boy at a bill signing kept trying to get a hug from Trump

  • President Donald Trump signed the Right to Try Act into law on Wednesday.
  • A 9-year-old boy with muscular dystrophy named Jordan McLinn was at the signing.
  • After a few tries, McLinn got a warm embrace and forehead kiss from the president.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump signed into law the Right to Try Act, legislation that will allow terminally ill patients to participate in experimental drug trials that have not been fully approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

Front and center at the signing of the bill was Jordan McLinn, a 9-year-old boy from Indianapolis who has a deadly form of muscular dystrophy.

McLinn and his mother, Laura, have advocated “right to try” bills in state legislatures all around the country, according to Fox 59, an Indianapolis Fox affiliate. Jordan McLinn’s name is in the full title of the bill, along with those of three others.

The video of the ceremony shows McLinn attempting to grab Trump’s attention to ask for a hug.

Finally, Trump noticed, and he gave the grinning boy a big hug and a kiss on the forehead.
