The brain drain from Twitter continues.
Akash Garg, a senior engineering director at Twitter, is headed to Uber. In a tweet on Tuesday, Garg announced he’ll be headed to Uber, where he said he’ll be leading the mobile and web platform teams.

Garg’s LinkedIn profile describes his role at Twitter as spearheading various projects which he says contributed to the company’s to user growth over the past several years.
Twitter has more than 300 million monthly active users of its service. But user growth has stalled recently, and in July interim CEO Jack Dorsey said he was not satisfied with the growth in Twitter’s audience.
When we reached out to Twitter, the company declined to comment. We have reached out to Uber for information about Garg’s responsibilities and will update this post if we hear back.
