Some of Google’s most popular services, including Gmail and Google Calendar, experienced technical problems on Tuesday, preventing some users from accessing their email and other data.
Users were reporting slowness and connectivity errors for several of its services, Google said in a message posted on its online dashboard for monitoring performance of its G Suite applications.
The company updated the dashboard at 9:27 a.m. PT saying the problems with Gmail and other apps “should be resolved.”
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support,” the company said. “Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.”
The technical problems, which left many users scrambling to access important services, started coming into play as many people started preparing to tune into the webcast of Apple’s 10th-anniversary iPhone launch event.
Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets were all flagged as experiencing partial service disruptions as of 8:54 a.m. PT on Tuesday.
A Google spokesman had referred Business Insider to the company’s dashboard updates.
