Model, 28, dies from bleeding in brain after complaining of headache while singing karaoke

A trade and car show model has died, three days after complaining of a headache while at a karaoke session with friends.
Karen Stella Wong, 28, was at a karaoke bar located along Neil Road in Singapore on Dec 12 with her friends when she said she was having a headache.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, Ms Wong had just sung a high-pitched note when she started to feel unwell. Apart from the headache, she also began to feel numbness on one side of her body.
Sensing something was amiss, her friends then took her to the emergency department at the hospital.
Ms Wong then slipped into a coma and died on Dec 15.
On Dec 26, The Straits Times reported that Ms Wong’s father has since clarified that his daughter died from acute intracerebral haemorrhage, where bleeding occurs in the brain.
An only child, Ms Wong had no known medical history and her family has no history of acute intracerebral haemorrhage.
Lianhe Zaobao reported that close to a hundred people attended her wake before the cremation ceremony on Dec 20.
