Those adorable Heathrow Airport teddy bears are back in another Christmas tear-jerker

If you’re one of many whose hearts were charmed last Christmas by two adorable elderly teddy bears named Doris and Edward Bair in London’s Heathrow Airport’s video commercial, here’s news for you: They’re back.

The airport released another video on Nov 20 entitled “It’s A Wonderful Flight” which follows the pair from their first meeting and subsequent love story spanning 50 years from 1967 to present day.

And it’s all set in (you guessed it): Heathrow Airport.

The two-minute tear-jerker set to Petula Clark’s “I Couldn’t Live Without Your Love” starts off in 1967 with Edward Bair dozing off on a BOAC flight that has just landed and flight attendant Doris gently nudging him to hand him his coat.

Doris follows after him and he gets off the plane to hand him his hat which he left behind and sparks fly as Edward watches her from a bus that’s moving off from the tarmac to bring passengers to the terminal, as she heads back into the plane.

As the decades roll by, you’ll see how the family they’ve started grows, ending off with grandchildren in 2017.

The YouTube clip has since been viewed over 272,000 times and Heathrow’s set up a microsite dedicated to the bears too, if you just can’t get enough of them.

The bears were first introduced last year in Heathrow’s first-ever Christmas video called “Coming home for Christmas” and in the same vein, this video ends with the Bear family members turning into humans.
